DREAM OF GOLDFISH

While I was painting the Christian Dior Resort 2014 inspired illustration, I was mesmerized by these colorful floaty dresses. 

I keep imagining the girls being surrounded by fancy goldfish, like this...

CHRISTIAN DIOR RESORT 2014

Today's collection was inspired by Christian Dior Resort 2014 collection. 
The color scheme for this collection is quite lovely, black and white, a few shades of creams and the primary colors. For this season, Raf Simons followed the conventional Dior tropes--flowers, lace, and rounded sihouette; added his signature touch while showing ultimate respect for tradition.  Simons included some asymmetry, dynamism and multiple zips in each design, it's "A symbol of sport and dynamism," he said.

Ilustración de hoy está inspirado por la colección de Christian Dior Resort 2014. El esquema de colores para esta colección es super bonito, blanco y negro, con tonalidades de cremas son los colores primarios. Para esta temporada, Raf Simons sigue las metáforas convencionales de Dior: flores, encajes y sihouette redondeada, añaden su toque personal mientras muestra definitiva el respeto por la tradición. Simons incluyen cierta asimetría, dinamismo y múltiples cremalleras en cada diseño, se trata de "un símbolo del deporte y el dinamismo", el dijo.

Flower Mood

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION: CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2013 COUTURE

Today's illustration was inspired by Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture collection. The show feels so beautiful, serene and surreal.
The inspirations behind this season's collection are spring, flowers and garden. "When Raf Simons read Christian Dior's autobiography during his summer break in Puglia, he found unexpected parallels with his own state of mind, particularly in Dior's love of the countryside, the garden he would retreat to, the flowers he grew there. 'There was such purity in that story,' said Simons."--style.com

La Ilustración de hoy fue inspirada por la colección de primavera 2013 de  Christian Dior Couture. El espectáculo se siente tan hermoso, sereno y surrealista.
La inspiración detrás de la colección de esta temporada son las flores de primavera y el jardín. "Cuando Raf Simons leo  la autobiografía de Christian Dior durante sus vacaciones de verano en Puglia, encontró paralelismos inesperados con su propio estado de ánimo, sobre todo en el amor de Dior del campo, el jardín, se retiraba a las flores que allí crecían." WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION:CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2013 RTW

Today's illustration is inspired by Christian Dior SS 2013 RTW collection. 
"According to the show notes—and Raf's own words—the key descriptor for this new era at Dior is "freedom." But freedom from all restraint ultimately leads to the excess of self-destruction. What we saw today, by contrast, suggested an appreciation of the power of limits."--style.com
I especially love the iridescent balloon floral-printed skirts and those shiny stilettos!

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION: CHRISTIAN DIOR FALL 2012 RTW | MIERCOLES ILUSTRACIÓN‏

Raf Simons's debut show for Christian Dior is definitely one of the most anticipated show this season. Raf Simons presented his first collection for the brand against a backdrop of millions of  blooming flowers. It was wonderful to see how he interpreted Christian Dior's architectural vision into the silhouette of the designs with new contemporary touches. “It’s about changing the attitude,” he said, and celebrating “the uniqueness of the craft.”
Other than the thoughtfully designed collection and fairytale setting, the make up for this collection is quite extraordinary. Models were assigned different bold hues 'to emphasize the silhouettes' of specific looks. Double layered liner, color coated lashes and brightly painted lips(using a mix of orange, red, and fuchsia) create a dramatic look.

La presentación de Raf Simons para el debut de Christian Dior es definitivamente uno de los espectáculos más esperados de esta temporada. Raf Simons, presentó su primera colección para la marca contra un telón de fondo de millones de flores que florecen. Fue maravilloso ver cómo se interpreta la visión arquitectónica de Christian Dior en la silueta de los diseños con nuevos toques contemporáneos. "Se trata de cambiar la actitud", dijo, y la celebración de "la singularidad de la arte."
Aparte de la colección cuidadosamente diseñado y cuento de hadas, la composición de esta colección es bastante extraordinaria. Las modelos fueron asignadas en diferentes colores audaces »para resaltar las siluetas de los looks específicos. El maquillaje tambien fue espectacular, doble delineador, y rimel de colores a  las pestañas y los labios pintados de colores brillantes (usando una mezcla de naranja, rojo y fucsia) crearon un look dramático  espectacular.
