COLORFUL WEDNESDAY- ERDEM PRE-FALL 2013

Today's illustration was inspired by Erdem Pre-Fall 2013 collection again.

CHRISTIAN DIOR RESORT 2014

Today's collection was inspired by Christian Dior Resort 2014 collection. 
The color scheme for this collection is quite lovely, black and white, a few shades of creams and the primary colors. For this season, Raf Simons followed the conventional Dior tropes--flowers, lace, and rounded sihouette; added his signature touch while showing ultimate respect for tradition.  Simons included some asymmetry, dynamism and multiple zips in each design, it's "A symbol of sport and dynamism," he said.

El esquema de colores para esta colección es super bonito, blanco y negro, con tonalidades de cremas son los colores primarios. Para esta temporada, Raf Simons sigue las metáforas convencionales de Dior: flores, encajes y sihouette redondeada, añaden su toque personal mientras muestra definitiva el respeto por la tradición. Simons incluyen cierta asimetría, dinamismo y múltiples cremalleras en cada diseño, se trata de "un símbolo del deporte y el dinamismo", el dijo.

Kellybee

Earlier this month, I finished painting a little munny for Kelly's birthday present.

To me, Kelly is the sweetest friend anyone could ever hope to have.

I am always thankful to have her as my dearest friend for many years.:)

The front side of the munny is Kelly--the blue-haired cactus fairy,

The back side of the munny is Bee(me)--the girl wearing a bee hat.

I named the munny Kellybee.

.

The front and back side of the little munny is always connected;

I hope our friendship is just like that, inseparable...

.

Yesterday, Kellybee safely flew across the Pacific Ocean,

and arrived at Kelly's home in Beijing, China.

Kelly happily welcomed Kellybee, and took many cute photos of it,

I think Kellybee will be the happiest munny in the whole world,

because she just found the most loving and caring owner! ♡

Correspondence :)

This is a correspondence to a letter written by one of my best friends--Kelly. In the letter, she says, "a pearl may look really bright at first, but after been washed by waves overtime, the colors will fade and the shininess will disappear." She thought true friendships are precious and hard to find. Unfortunately, a lot times friendships are just like pearls, fade as the time goes by. She hopes our friendship can be an exception and last forever.

My response to her letter is: a friendship is just like a mysterious journey. We don't know what is lie ahead waiting for us. But as we travel down the road, there will be more and more wonderful things for us to discover...

In my illustration, the lotus lantern represents the care and appreciation for the friendship. As the girl floating down the lily pond, the flowers will gradually bloom once the magic light of her lantern sheds on them... :)
