WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION:Chanel Pre-fall 2013

Today's illustration is inspired by Chanel Pre-fall 2013 collection.
I love this pre-fall collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld! He merged Chanel's original Parisian proportions with the romantic Scottish tradition. Every element from this collection, the braided up do hairstyle, feathered hats, flowing scarves, patterned tights, kilt in chiffon and lace, drop-waisted kilt-pleated coat, jewels and feather accessories is so beautifully designed and matched.

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION | MIERCOLES ILUSTRACIÓN‏

I think I'm a little addicted to Chanel Resort 2013 make up look. Can't resist painting another look from this collection, you can check out the first one here
.
The pink eyes, rosy blush, Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in Evasion for the lips and Chanel's new signature interlocking C logo face stickers create a sweet look.
.
In a little interview, Peter Philips, Creative Director for Chanel Makeup, gave further details on the pink look:"The makeup is inspired by the theme of the collection: Versailles. It’s a ‘pink’ makeup, between “girly” and “rebel”. I used “Ombre Essentielle-Rose Favorite” on the eyelids and “Joues Contraste – Rose Pétale” as a blusher. Beige Khol liner ‘Clair’ in the eyes and I slightly enhanced the eyebrows. I kept the skin natural, to avoid the makeup from looking historical. Soft, pinkish lips I achieved by applying “Rouge Coco Shine – Evasion” and I topped the makeup off by placing a black velvet Chanel logo as a beauty spot on either the left or right side of the face (high on the cheekbones, under the eye). Last minute I added a s ubtle highlight with “Mouche de Beauté” a compact highlight powder. The eye shadow, highlight powder and velvet CC’s were created especially for this show.”

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION | MIERCOLES ILUSTRACIÓN‏

Today's illustration is inspired by Chanel Resort 2013 collection.

I love the colorful bob wigs and bold pink eye shadows!
The little Chanel logo "beauty spots" sticker appears to be a very intriguing addition to the make up!

The collection was inspired by the Louis Quatorze's eighteenth-century court at Versailles and hip-hop edge—à la  Karl Lagerfeld's favorite Azealia Banks(M.I.A.).
It's an interesting mix of high and low, girly and rebel.

Check out the whole collection here.
