The sunflowers I planted in the backyard are blooming! Isn’t summer always better with bright sunflowers?

Today's illustration was inspired by Prabal Gurung Resort 2014 collection. 
This season, Prabal Gurung said he wanted to get back to "elegant, chic, refined clothes...American sportswear, but with couture ideals." 
Just as he stated, this collection focused on sporty sensibility, with a special touch achieved by artfully combined patterns and complicated construction techniques.

Today's illustration was inspired by Elie Saab Spring 2013 RTW collection. My favorite pieces are the floaty chiffon dresses in colorful abstract prints. The vibrant colors are so delightful and fun to look at, perfect for this spring weather.

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION:BALMAIN SPRING 2013 RTW

Today's illustration is inspired by Balmain Spring Summer 2013 RTW collection. 
Many of the cuts of the clothing referenced the early 1990's, ranging from sleeveless crop tops, to mini skirts, shoulder pads, and men's trousers. The silhouette included a fuller high-waisted pant, an exaggerated shoulder, and a focus on the midriff and legs.
I especially love the architectural silhouettes of the outfits and geometric patterns used throughout this collection!
