The Hidden Memories – Dolce & Gabbana F/W 2013

Marcus Kan of Draw A Dot. and I decided to work on a collaboration project together. In this series, Marcus and I are going to pick some of the best F/W 2013 accessories and create scenes based on the vibe of each collection. 

"For the first illustration, we have picked the famous crown and the necklace from the Dolce & Gabbana F/W 2013 collection. The 2 accessory pieces have turned into a beautiful frame and captured the moment when the Dolce & Gabbana girl is playing with her favourite pets – the leopards. I find this illustration to be very stunning and it really captures the regalness of the lady. Also, I can see that Sunny‘s illustration skill has once again evolved as her composition skill has really blown me away with this piece."--Marcus

"This illustration was inspired by Dolce & Gabbana RTW F/W 2013 collection. I especially love this season’s outfits and they are meant to fit for a queen (a Byzantine empress). Every Dolce & Gabbana girl looks very confident, majestic, and empowered. In this piece, I wanted to portray the girl as the queen of her world.  I painted a pair of leopards to accompany her because they are very mysterious and fascinating animals. Leopards have held the court with kings and queens in myth, legend, art and literature from ancient times to this day. They feel like the perfect companions for the Dolce & Gabbana queen. I also wish to highlight the golden crowns, beautiful accessories, meticulously crafted dress that made out of mosaic beadings and crystal gems."--Sunny

My favorite from this collection are the cozy scarves! They look so comfy and warm!

This week's illustration is inspired by Mary Katrantzou Fall 2012 RTW collection. I can never get tired of looking at the extraordinary prints she created! This season she used everyday objects such as spoons, typewriter, hedges, 2B pencils, hangers as main subjects to create the prints. This is a collection when beautiful color palettes, unique patterns, impressive sculptural silhouette, breathtaking details all come together!
Aren't the graphic eyeliner look and top knot hair do lovely additions to the fabulous collection?

Esta temporada se utiliza objetos cotidianos como cucharas, máquina de escribir, setos, lápices 2B, perchas como sujetos principales de crear las impresiones. Se trata de una colección cuando paletas de colores hermosos, patrones exclusivos, silueta escultórica impresionante, detalles impresionantes todos vienen juntos! el aspecto gráfico del lápiz de ojos y el pelo estilado con moño hace un adicion muy bonita que fabulosa es esta colección!

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION: ‏LOUIS VUITTON FALL 2012 RTW | MIERCOLES ILUSTRACIÓN‏

Today's illustration is inspired by Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 RTW collection. This collection features high-waisted silhouettes, towering hats, ornate buttons and echoes of the famous Vuitton checkerboard pattern that has been used on luggage since 1888. All the beautiful hues of the season were represented, camels, deep and browns, greys, plums, blood reds, burnt oranges, jet blacks, deep inky blues.
The show began with a beautiful handmade steam engine pulling into a set in a courtyard of the Louvre, which had been transformed into an old train station. Then one by one, the models de-boarded wearing outfits straight out of the golden age of railroading, followed by porters carrying as many as three bags per girl. Personally I think it's one of the most impressive show in the season, click here to watch the video.

La Ilustración de hoy está inspirada por la colección de Louis Vuitton Otoño 2012 RTW. Esta colección presenta siluetas de talle alto, sombreros altos, botones ornamentales y ecos del tablero de ajedrez famosos de Vuitton que se ha utilizado en el equipaje desde 1888. Todos los colores hermosos de la temporada estuvieron representados, camellos, profundos y marrones, grises, rojos, ciruelas, naranjas quemados sangre, negros chorros azules, profundos negros como la tinta.
El espectáculo comenzó con un motor de vapor hermoso hecho a mano que tira en un conjunto en un patio del Louvre, que se había transformado en una antigua estación de tren. Luego, uno por uno, los modelos de-vistiendo trajes abordaron directamente de la edad de oro de ferrocarriles, seguidos por los porteros que llevan hasta tres bolsas por chica. Personalmente creo que es uno de los espectáculos más impresionantes de la temporada, haz click aquí para ver el vídeo.

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION: ‏CHRISTOPHER KANE FALL 2012 RTW | MIERCOLES ILUSTRACIÓN‏

Today's illustration is inspired by Christopher Kane 2012 Fall RTW. This collection feels much darker and more sinister compare to the spring collection. The color went from black pinstriped looks, to a leopard print that was the color of bruises, to an almost shockingly bright lilac, to a deep red. 

According to Tim Blanks at Style.com wrote that Kane was influenced by 80s thriller film Cruising. Kane imagined the kind of girl who might going to the clubs depicted in the film. He also used a moiré fabric because it reminded him of the inside of coffins.

El color negro se ve pasó de raya diplomática, con un estampado de leopardo que era el color de los moretones, a un casi escandalosamente brillante lila, a un rojo profundo.

Según Tim Blanks en Style.com escribió que Kane fue influenciado por los años 80 Cruising película thriller. Kane imaginó la clase de chica que podría ir a los clubes representados en la película. También usó una tela moiré porque le recordaba el interior de los ataúdes.

WEDNESDAY ILLUSTRATION: MIU MIU FALL 2012 RTW | MIERCOLES ILUSTRACIÓN‏

I was so excited when I came across Miu Miu Fall 2012 collection! The focus of this collection is suit dressing: straight, loose blazers and trousers and shiny jewel tones. Art Nouveau-ish floral prints and bright graphics for the patterns brought a touch of the feminine and elegance.
The make up look from this collection is very bold and interesting. Love the double eye shadow in white and light blue, pastel lips and black jewel embellishments!

Me sentí muy emocionada cuando mire la colección de Miu Miu Otoño 2012  El objetivo de esta colección es vestirse en traje rectos chaquetas y pantalones sueltos y los tonos brillantes en las joyas. Arte Nouveau-ish estampados florales y gráficos brillantes fue un toque femenino y elegante.  
El maquillaje de esta colección esta muy acentuado y interesante. Me encanta la doble sombra de ojos en blanco y azul claro. los labios en colores pasteles y los adornos de joyas en color negro!
